These contractors also are happy to perform regular contracting services and will bid competitively.  Please understand that their competitive estimate pricing is usually higher than their insurance estimates.

Insurance companies are not known for paying too much for your repairs.  The prospect of finding a reputable contractor that could do a quality repair or replacement for less than your claim allowance is very remote.
